Featuring new projects by Nika Kaiser and Bear Warp.
Nika Kaiser “Phases of Kairos “ (USA)
This piece uses elements that are markers of non-human timescales such as fossils, sand deposits, burn marks on the land. They animatedly cascade over the surface of the clocktower like phases of the moon, the cycle of ocean waves, and the erosion of dunes, moving in modes that contrast the mechanical measures of the original architecture.
Bear Warp “Three Acts for Thirty Windows” (USA)
Three Acts for Thirty Windows is a 21st Century video play in an 8-bit game space. Circuit bent imagery is processed by a modern videogame engine to render a temporally ambiguous experience.
